Our story

Former media executive Aziza Albou founded A-Z Media Communications in 2015 with a deep-seated passion to nurture a more balanced and accurate image of emerging economies in the US and other developed markets. The agency’s first series of projects revolved around providing advisory services in English and French for both business and political clients with ties to Africa and the US!

Our growth

As we have grown, A-Z Media Communications has expanded its reach, portfolio, client-base, and focus areas to include clients around the world as well as in our backyard of the New York-Montreal corridor as well as London and Jo'burg.

Aziza Albou Traoré –

Founder & CEO

Aziza moved from France to the United States in 2009 and started as an account manager at The Network Journal, a business magazine. She held various positions, from marketing to writing and programming, for major international media (Jeune Afrique, Forbes, Africa 24). In 2011, she became the first representative for Groupe Jeune Afrique in North America and opened their office in New York City. She recognized the need for a more positive and accurate representation of emerging markets abroad, and the importance for these markets to handle media exposure more professionally. Aziza thus started providing communication advisory services between Africa and the United States. With A-Z Media Communications, she aims to extend her services to international level. Aziza has a master’s degree in communication from the French Institute of Press in Paris. When living in France, she was in charge of the financing and production for a contemporary art center. In 2013, she completed a program of broadcast journalism at the New York Film Academy.

J. Scott Punk, APR, SCPM -

Senior Strategist

Scott is a strategic marketing leader and proven catalyst for performance improvement with a reputation for successfully leading complex marketing programs that demand critical analysis, team alignment, agility and bottom-line results. A forward-thinking expert in business-to-business content marketing and brand strategy with 25+ years’ experience in agency, corporate and association environments, he has an extensive portfolio of international work. Scott is a recognized expert in strategy creation and execution; change management; organizational alignment and engagement; marketing automation; and go-to-market strategies that deliver bottom-line results. His vertical market expertise includes: professional services; IT; telecommunications; financial services; industrial chemicals; healthcare; and building products.


Glynis Loizeau –

Communications Specialist

Glynis Loizeau has lived and worked as a writer in Cape Town, Johannesburg and Paris. Following eight years as the PR and communication manager at The Africa Report in Paris, responsible for the development and promotion of the magazine, she now specialises in Public Relations for French and international business and political clients. With a solid international media, business and institutional network and working relationships with the international media, Glynis uses her strong writing and strategic skills to develop and implement PR campaigns. She also researches and writes investment guides to promote private investment in Africa and, in 2015 ran the English communication campaign for presidential candidate Roch Marc Christian Kaboré, now president of Burkina Faso. Alongside these main business activities, Glynis also works as a script doctor for French screenwriters and film makers, advising on storylines, strengthening dialogue and supervising voice over recordings. Glynis’s is a native English speaker and is fluent in French. She lives in Paris and Rennes.

Geet Bhatt -

Investor specialist

Geet Bhatt is an investor, advisor and entrepreneur from the United States. He brings six years of experience as a financier with a background in investment banking and principal investing in the energy sector having completed over US$4 billion of transaction in the United States, South America, and Sub-Saharan Africa. He has previously worked at KawiSafi Ventures, the International Finance Corporation and Marathon Capital. He brings hands-on experience of working with the Boards and Management teams of emerging market companies to scale and grow. In addition, he has advised companies and governments throughout Sub-Saharan Africa on energy sector strategy, development matters and media relations. He graduated with honors from Emory University and is pursuing an MBA at The Wharton School.


Isabelle Noack -

PR associate

Isabelle is an African-born, German-American Journalist and PR professional - fluent in English, French and German. She worked as a TV and Radio journalist for NBC, Euronews, ITN and ARD in Germany, France, England and all over the United States and Africa. Additionally she held various positions within the PR and marketing industry including but not limited to working as a Senior Account Executive at FleishmanHillard and as a Senior Copy Writer and PR expert at McCann. She is passionate about emerging markets abroad and particularly those on the African continent. In addition to her professional commitments, she travels around Africa in her spare time to conduct interviews, collaborate with locals, help African business grow and produce videos that show a different and positive image of Africa.

Isabelle has a degree in Broadcast Journalism from the California State University in Long Beach as well as over 10 years of experiences in international Journalism, PR and marketing.
